Herons had a wonderful time this afternoon at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms, watching the Santa Saves Christmas panto.
It was really lovely to see all of the children working together!
The children in Herons have enjoyed their outdoor education this week, particularly being in the Forest area with Miss Garrett.
Herons have settled beautifully into their second half term of Year 1 and have been busy with their new topics and new learning!
The children had a fantastic PE lesson this week, learning about 1-point and 2-point balances in gymnastics.
This week in Herons, the children have been busy writing their own fantastic Dogger story. The children tried their very best to apply the sounds they have learnt so far into their writing. Not only have they written stories, but they have also written a fact file about a toy, which links into our current learning in History.
Herons have been learning about different ways of sorting objects in mathematics this week.
Herons have settled in beautifully this week to life in year 1.
On Tuesday 6th July, we held our first transition day, with our Dragonflies getting to spend their first day as Herons with Miss Matthews.
