Dragonflies Visit St Editha's Church
On Tuesday, Dragonflies visited St Editha's Church in the centre of town in order to find out about places of worship in the local area.
They listened carefully to the guide who explained how old the different parts of the church were and how it had even survived the Great Fire of Tamworth. The children were mesmerised by the gold leaf on the roof and were able to spot the lion and dragon hidden in the stained-glass windows. They had remembered lots of keywords from RE at school including font, altar, lectern and pulpit. They cannot wait to visit Spital Chapel next week to see how it is similar and different.
