End of the first Spring term!
Another half term completed and another fantastic half term full of progress!
In English this week, the children have been exploring more poems! They have successfully written and performed their own poem using their five senses, to describe what it would be like to walk through a jungle. The children have also demonstrated their improvement with their handwriting this week and are all really happy with their own progress.
In Maths, the children have started their addition and subtraction within 20 topic and have used practical resources to help with their learning and understanding. So far, they have explored number bonds to 20, adding a 2-digit number to a 1-digit number and looked at doubling numbers.
In the wider curriculum, the children have been developing their understanding of programming a robot, learnt all about Lent and even had a fabulous time in the Forest School making delicious s’mores.
We wish all of Herons a lovely half term and we cannot wait to welcome them back and see how much more progress they can make!
