Congratulations to our stars of the week from Kestrels.
Keep on being amazing!!
Kestrels have been learning all about Kenya and yesterday took part in an African dance workshop. They discussed the types of animals that you might see on a safari and looked at artefacts and traditional clothing.
Next week, they are looking forward to Mr Bough visiting with his African drums!
The children all had a fabulous day yesterday celebrating Chinese New Year. They had great fun taking part in a Chinese Dragon Dance workshop, enjoyed a delicious Chinese-themed lunch and even had fortune cookies! Happy year of the Snake!

Thank you to those parents who were able to join us this morning for the Phonics Workshop, which looked at the learning that will be taking place in Reception during the spring term in phonics lessons. I have attached the documents which were shared and you will also have a paper copy of this in the phonics packs being sent home.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions with regards to phonics and reading in Reception.

We are so pleased to have Mrs Smith back today after the Christmas holidays. This term we are learning the steel pans; Mrs Smith reminded us that they originated from Trinidad and Tobago over 100 years ago!
